Technology is changing the way education is being done. You don’t need a textbook to access information, information is at your fingertips and so is communication with anyone in the world. From an early age we want to emphasize the use of technology not as a “subject” but as a matrix for learning inside the classroom and reporting and assessment of children’s work.
Our children need to be prepared for a different type of literacy. They need to type, not just write with a pen. They need to function in a world that uses media and technology to communicate with people all over the world, so they will need to have basic technology/programming skills for a technology-based world.
Children will learn to look for information using the internet and synthesis their own meanings, while learning to communicate and collaborate with others via technology.
